Cerimonia di consegna dei diplomi per 71 neolaureati in informatica

Venerdì sono stati conferiti 13 diplomi di Bachelor, 40 di Master, 7 di Executive Master e 11 di dottorato. I diplomati – provenienti da 18 diverse nazioni – hanno avuto il privilegio di vivere una cerimonia colorata da una sfumatura particolare: essa si è infatti inserita nelle celebrazioni per il decimo “compleanno” della Facoltà di scienze informatiche. Congratulazioni a tutti i neodiplomati!

Per Bergamin (Institute for Distance and eLearning Research, FFHS) e Andreas Ledergerber (capo dell’Ufficio per la scienza e la tecnologia presso l’ambasciata svizzera a Washington) rifletteranno sul rapido sviluppo delle tecnologie digitali e sulle possibilità di reinventare attraverso di esse l'istruzione superiore.

Durisch + Nolli Architetti

Lo studio Durisch + Nolli Architetti nasce nel 1993 dalla sinergia tra Pia Durisch (Lugano, 1964) e Aldo Nolli (Milano, 1959), entrambi laureati all’ETH Zürich. Fin dagli esordi la loro ricerca si è distinta culturalmente per il “fare aperto” e, negli anni, con il loro lavoro si sono fatti interpreti di un costante confronto con l’architettura contemporanea svizzera ed europea. L'appuntamento è per giovedì 23 ottobre alle 19.30 nell'aula magna del campus di Mendrisio.

Swissnex è la rete svizzera dei consolati scientifici e dei consiglieri per la scienza e la tecnologia, presente in diciannove Paesi del mondo. Costituisce uno degli strumenti della politica federale di cooperazione bilaterale in materia di formazione, ricerca e innovazione e la sua missione è quella di valorizzare le competenze elvetiche all’estero e di sostenere gli attori svizzeri attivi in questo ambito nei loro sforzi d’internazionalizzazione.

L’incontro dal titolo Memoria e parola d’esilio. Intorno al volume La bicicletta rossa di Manuela Balanzin si terrà giovedì 23 ottobre alle 17.30 in auditorio (campus di Lugano). Interverranno Lucia Bellaspiga, Eddo Rigotti, Carlo Ossola e Manuela Balanzin. L'evento è organizzato nel contesto della XIV Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo.

Convegno internazionale "Le jeu savant"

Il convegno tratterà sotto diversi aspetti il tema della luce e dell'oscurità nell'architettura del XX secolo, grazie al contributo di ricercatori provenienti da diversi paesi europei e dagli Stati Uniti. A cura di Silvia Berselli, Matthias Brunner e Daniela Mondini, il convegno si terrà venerdì 24 e sabato 25 ottobre in aula C3.89 (palazzo Canavée, campus di Mendrisio).

Soggiorni di mobilità studentesca a scopo di studio e di stage

L'evento organizzato dal Servizio relazioni internazionali e mobilità è aperto a tutti gli studenti interessati a trascorrere un soggiorno di mobilità durante l'anno accademico 2015-2016. Giovedì 23 ottobre alle 12.30 in auditorio saranno presentati i programmi di mobilità, le università partner, le procedure di iscrizione e i requisiti di ammissione. Parteciperà l'USI Career Service, che presenterà le borse placement SEMP e le borse Career Service for International Placement.

Martedì 21 ottobre alle 18.00 in aula A31 si terrà l’annuale concorso di dettato organizzato dall’Associazione France-Tessin, con il sostegno del prof. Bertil Cottier. Graduation Ceremony for 71 Graduates in Informatics

13 Bachelor’s degrees, 40 Master’s degrees, 7 Executive Masters and 11 PhDs were conferred on Friday. The graduates hailing from 18 different countries, had the privilege to take part in a one of a kind ceremony: the event was held within the celebrations for the Faculty of Informatics 10th anniversary. Congratulations to all newly graduates!

On Friday, October 24 at 1pm in the Auditorium of Lugano Campus, the State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation Mauro Dell’Ambrogio, USI’s prof. Lorenzo Cantoni, prof. Per Bergamin (Institute for Distance and eLearning Research, FFHS) and Andreas Ledergerber (Head of the Science and Technology Office, Washington Swiss Embassy), will tackle issues such as the rapid development of digital technologies and the possibilities to use them to reinvent higher education.

Durisch + Nolli Architects

The firm Durisch + Nolli Architects was founded in 1993 thanks to the synergy between ETH Zürich’s graduates Pia Durisch (Lugano, 1964) and Aldo Nolli (Milan, 1959). Since the very beginning their research has been characterised by their "out in the open" ways, and over the years through their work, they have become exponents of a constant confrontation between Swiss and European contemporary architecture. The lecture will be held on Thursday, October 23 at 7.30pm in the Aula Magna of Mendrisio Campus.

The lecture is organised within the 14th Week of the Italian Language in the World.

International Conference "Le jeu savant"

The convention will tackle the different angles of the issue of light and darkness in the 20th century’s architecture, thanks to a contribution of researchers hailing from different European countries and from the United States. Organised by Silvia Berselli, Matthias Brunner and Daniela Mondini, the event will be held on Friday and Saturday, October 25 and 26 in room C3.89 (Canavée Building, Mendrisio Campus).

Student Mobility for the Purpose of Study or Internship

The event organised by the International Relations and Study-Abroad Office is open to all students interested in mobility during the academic year 2015-2016. On Thursday, October 23 at 12.30pm in the Auditorium, a presentation will be held concerning all mobility programmes, partner universities, registration procedures and admission requirements. The USI Career Service will be there to introduce the placement scholarships SEMP and the Career Service for International placement scholarships.

The annual dictation contest by the Association France-Tessin with the support of prof. Bertil Cottier will be held on Tuesday, October 21 at 6pm in room A31 of Lugano Campus. The event is open to anyone interested, both Francophones or non-Francophones. All contestants will compete in two distinct categories with prizes to be assigned to both groups.
