Memory technologies: capture, recall and forget

Speaker: Corina Sas
Lancaster University, UK
Date: Friday, April 20, 2018
Place: USI Lugano Campus, room A13, Red building (Via G. Buffi 13)
Time: 10:30-11:30

Abstract:

This talk provides an overview of my work on memory technologies supporting the capture, recall and forgetting of episodic events. It outlines the different cues that we have explored and developed, and argues for the value of integrating the traditional cues focusing on the external environment with internal cues reflecting sensorial experiences and feelings. The talk concludes with a critique of the total recall paradigm and its limited support for the memory process of forgetting.
