Horizon 2020: main open calls for proposals

HUMAN BRAIN PROJECT: DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE, DRUG MODELLING, NEURON ANALYSIS, GENDER EQUALITY

A new call to join the Human Brain Project Joint platform has been announced in the areas of: digital infrastructure for large neuroscience projects, data protection, modelling allosteric drugs, single neuron and interneurons analysis and gender equality activities.

The Human Brain Project (HBP) aims to bring a large number of users to the HBP-Joint Platform to make it even more attractive for the external science community and to foster new collaborations across the full width of the HBP’s Subprojects.

SNSF PROJECT FUNDING

Under the project funding scheme of the Swiss National Science Foundation, qualified researchers define their research themes and objectives themselves and conduct their project under their own responsibility.

SWISS GOVERNMENT EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR FOREIGN SCHOLARS

As every August, the Swiss Confederation opens calls for Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries.

The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships are aimed at young researchers from abroad who have completed a master’s degree or PhD.

Sinergia promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between two to four research groups whose project involves breakthrough research.

Interdisciplinary research is defined as research across disciplinary boundaries. In order to achieve the research objectives, it is necessary to integrate elements from two or more disciplines. Breakthrough research calls into question or goes beyond existing models, theories, doctrines, research approaches, methods, etc.

CONGRESSI STEFANO FRANSCINI: CALL FOR CONFERENCE PROPOSALS

The Congressi Stefano Franscini conference platform of the ETH Zurich offers scientists the possibility of organizing research conferences at Monte Verità.

All researchers and university professors working in Switzerland are invited to submit their proposal for a conference in 2019. A conference should last between 3 and 5 days and attract an international audience of 50-100 participants. Congressi Stefano Franscini now also funds workshops. Proposals can be submitted all year round. A workshop should last 3 days and should have between 25 and 30 participants.
