Interreg V B programs promote cooperation between neighbouring regions from different countries, forming larger and bigger areas. Innovation, research and technological development are the main topics of the Interreg North-West Europe Program 2014-2020.
Partners from Switzerland can participate in this programme, but they are not eligible as Lead Partners and can not receive European funding. Instead, they can receive national co-financing.

SNSF NRP 72 "ANTIMIOCROBIAL RESISTANCE" |

The NRP 72 aims to contribute to reducing antimicrobial resistance and complications in treating infectious diseases.
The research programme is expected to improve our knowledge about the origin of resistance genes and their distribution mechanisms, develop swift diagnostic tools, analyse new antimicrobial molecules and propose intervention measures. It is adopting a holistic, interdisciplinary one-health approach.

SNSF NRP 75 "BIG DATA" |

The goal of the new programme is to generate scientific knowledge on the efficient use of big data.
NRP 75 will adress the technical questions raised by big data (infrastructures, machine learning, security), study the societal challenges involved (social acceptance, regulatory aspects and economic impacts) and facilitate the development of new applications.
