The Horizon 2020 SME Instrument promotes SMEs’ innovation activities from concept to market. The SME instrument addresses the financing needs of internationally oriented SMEs, in implementing high-risk and high-potential innovation ideas. It aims at supporting projects with a European dimension that lead to major changes in how business is done. It will assist innovative SMEs to shape new markets, create growth, and achieve high return on investment.
Several open calls are now open under this funding scheme, with different cut-off dates.

CYBERSECURITY |
Under the Societal Challenges Pillar of Horizon 2020 there are three open calls in Cybersecurity.
The Cybersecurity PPP will help to align the demand and supply sectors for cybersecurity products while also seeking synergies to develop common, sector-neutral technological building blocks with maximum replication potential e.g. encrypted storage and processing, secured communication, etc.

SESAR JOINT UNDERTAKING: AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM |

SNSF R4D PROGRAMME |
The third thematically open call for the r4d programme supports research on global issues in the context of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Global issues are understood as issues that have common causes and require common solutions that go beyond national borders. These global issues should be examined with a particular focus on the nexus and trade-offs of the sustainable development goals. Accordingly, the research questions of the projects should investigate synergies and dilemmas that exist in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and produce transformative knowledge that will suggest development pathways to reduced poverty and increased sustainability.

COST - EUROPEAN COOPERATION IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY |
