H2020 TRANSPORT INFO-LUNCH

Euresearch Lugano organizes an info-lunch about transport-related topics within Horizon 2020, which will be held at SUPSI Manno - galleria 2, Sala Primavera (ground floor, next to the Bar-Restaurant) -  on the 28th of January 2015, from 12.15 to 13.45.

More specifically, you will learn about the upcoming calls in the "Smart, Green and Integrated Transport" work program of the Societal Challenges pillar.

As usual, the event is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. In order to register, please follow this link.

After the meeting, you will have the opportunity to share privately your project ideas with the speaker,  Dr. Nicole Wyss. If you wish to benefit from those private sessions, please send an e-mail to Ms. Martina Pestoni in addition to registering to the event.

HASLER FOUNDATION: DIFFERENT FUNDING SCHEMES AVAILABLE

Hasler Foundation provides its support by financing or co-financing selected educational, research and innovation projects and undertakings in the field of ICT. Namely, the following funding schemes are available:

Innovation projects, targeting Master and PhD graduates.

Standard projects, aiming to supplement the support for research available in Switzerland from the SNSF and the CTI.

Small projects, whose funding request does not exceed CHF 50,000 and may be in connection to SNF or CTI projects (note that there is no specific deadline for submitting small projects).

International and bilateral calls for proposals

ERA-NET E-RARE-3: JOINT TRANSNATIONAL CALL 2015

The aim of the call is to enable scientists in different countries to build an effective collaboration on a common interdisciplinary research project based on complementarities and sharing of expertise, with a clear translational research approach.

Projects shall involve a group of rare diseases or a single rare disease following the European definition i.e. a disease affecting not more than five in 10.000 persons in the European Community, EC associated states and Canada.

Each consortium submitting a proposal must involve a minimum of three eligible and a maximum of six eligible partners from at least three different countries participating to the call. For Switzerland, the funding agency of reference is the SNSF.

EUROSTARS

Eurostars is a transnational research programme that supports research-performing, innovative SMEs to gain competitive advantage.

Research projects funded within the framework of Eurostars have to involve at least three partners from at least two different Eurostars countries.

Eurostars is an intergovernmental research programme, meaning that partners are funded by their national agencies of reference. For Switzerland, the funding agency is the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI).

BILATERAL JAPANESE-SWISS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM:CALL FOR EXCHANGE GRANTS FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS

This funding scheme mainly targets PhD students (PostDocs and Master students may also be accepted with justification) in any discipline currently working in research groups at Swiss Universities, Universities of Applied Sciences or Research Institutes and wishing to apply for a research stay in a Japanese institution. Similarly, Japanese young researchers can apply JSPS for a stay in Switzerland.
