INNOVATIVE MEDICINE INITIATIVE |
The Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) is Europe's largest public-private partnership aiming to improve the drug development process by supporting a more efficient discovery and development of better and safer medicines for patients.
Within the framework of IMI, the third and fourth calls for proposals have been launched.
3rd call topics:
- Remote assessment of disease and relapse (RADAR), topic 1: central nervous system (CNS)
- Assessing risk and progression of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes to enable disease modification
- Linking clinical neuropsychiatry and quantitative neurobiology
- The consistency approach to quality control in vaccine manufacture
- Pertussis vaccination research

ERC STARTING AND CONSOLIDATOR GRANT APPLICANTS TRAINING |
Euresearch Lugano is pleased to invite you to a training for ERC grant application aiming to give information and tips on the different parts of the proposal.
Participants are expected to work on a submission to the 2015 Starting or Consolidator Grant call (deadline 3 February and 12 March 2015, respectively) and be familiar with the information contained in the Work Program and Information for Applicants.
The workshop will take place on January 13, 2015, from 13:00 to 16:30 at USI, room 402.

precoR supports research projects with a focus on basic scientific achievements which enable the development of a future commercial application. In this sense, this initiative aims to encourage pre-competitive research.

SINO-SWISS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY COOPERATION PROGRAM |
The Sino-Swiss Science and Technology Cooperation (SSSTC) program aims to foster research cooperation between Swiss and Chinese institutions.
Funding schemes currently available are the following:
Stepping Stone Symposia or other Workshops: aiming to lay the basis for future Sino-Swiss cooperations. Call currently open.
Exchange Grants (EG): aiming to provide funding for personnel exchanges, which shall enable future research collaborations. The call will be open in December 2014.
Follow-up Grants: providing a small sum of funding (less than CHF 10’000.--) for personnel exchanges or publication costs for previous successful SSSTC projects. Call currently open.

Czech Republic and Switzerland are jointly announcing a bi-lateral Call for outlines for joint innovation projects under EUREKA and Eurostars.
