2005-2015: 10 YEARS OF STUDENT MOBILITY

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the International Relations and Study-abroad Service. As it starts its adolescent years, it is a nice occasion for looking back at the development of the mobility of USI students (what destinations? how many students per year?) as well as that of students visiting USI from partner universities.
 

FROM EXCHANGE TO PHD STUDENT: INTERVIEW WITH ILARIA FREGNO

Last year, Ilaria Fregno, from the University of Padua, wrote her Master thesis at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (an USI affiliate) in Dr Molinari’s laboratory thanks to a SEMP Mobility for Traineeships grant. Her mobility experience was so successful that she now is a PhD student at IRB. In this interview, she shares her experience as a mobility student in Switzerland.
 

STUDY-ABROAD INFORMATION SESSIONS FOR USI STUDENTS

If you’re looking forward to spend a semester or a whole year studying abroad, mark down these dates in your agenda! On Thursday, October 22, we will hold an Information Session in the Auditorium 12.30-13.30, where all your questions will be answered. On Monday, November 9, in the Aula Magna Foyer 12.30-13.03, we will hold an International Fair with information material from partner universities.
 

A NEW ACADEMIC YEAR HAS BEGUN

The 2015-2016 academic year has started with 36 new incoming exchange students in Lugano and 27 in Mendrisio, with people from all over the world participating in the various mobility programmes offered at USI. After the Orientation Days in the respective campuses, the mobility students from Lugano and Mendrisio had the chance to come together for an exciting and eventful day trip at Expo Milan.
